Dark and overcast but cloud thin as moon bright at times. Very muddy at times especially approaching Wortin Wood.
Miserable weather today, very gloomy and constant rain, stayed in marking M885 TMAs and shifted a load. Still twilight though, nights are definitely drawing out. very mild, drizzle.
First run of this route. Cool but sunny though some cloud, quite chilly towards the end. Slightly marred by tosser at farm in Easton claiming there was no right of way through the farm. Apart from that, brilliant run, everything from the end of that footpath all the way around to Priddy new. Hefty climb to Mendips from Rodney Stoke.
First day of the year with warmth in the sun, few clouds, very early spring-like, magic. Tee shirt, no hat, warm on return.
Dark, stormy clouds, drizzle, mild. Wet in places after rain today.
Dark, overcast, quite mild.
Starlit night, chilly.
Glimmer of brightness in the sky towards the west at start, then quickly very dark. Fairly mild, thin overcast as hazy moon visible, felt good.
First run of this route, all covered except for the footpath from Glencot Lane back to near the Paper Mill. very mild, almost sunny after a dismally gloomy day.
First run of this route, all covered before except first footpath after Harters Hill. Mild, dull so no camera, breezy, often headwind on the way out but easy last part of ascent to the Tor.
Overcast, windy but very mild, tee shirt, no hat.
Stormy night, not too chilly, with some drizzle. Strong headwind at times on southerly stretch.
Fairly chilly, breezy, overcast, damp.
Fairly mild, overcast, pavements wet from rain.
Very dark, completely clear, starlit night. Calm, freezing, ground solid throughout so mud free. Good one.
Out after dark, some brightness in the sky towards the west. Cold evening, calm, starlit, Orion.
First run of this route, the traditional late January cross country route to the west. Overcast but some sunny periods, very cold, ground often freezing. Seemed calm until approaching Park Woods at the end into headwind, felt very tired by then.
Beautiful sunny afternoon, skies blue, calm, freezing, ground solid in places.
Cold but not freezing, breezy. Heavy low overcast, very dark.
Chilly, breezy, total overcast. Very tired today after nightmare train journey back from Kingston last night, back at house in the Stoke at 2.30 a.m.
Very dark, storm clouds slowly clearing to starlit night by the end, chilly but not near freezing. Still a bit of pain in right foot from time to time, not getting any worse certainly.
Overcast, chilly but not freezing, very dark. Some pain in right foot this time, towards the end.
First run of this route, Monarchs Way at the south, diversion to Westholme House and paths around Worminster and north of Dulcote Quarry all new. Very hard going around the quarry, path ill defined and overgrown in places. Cold, not quite freezing, bitter wind over Worminster. Quite an epic, very tired.
Sky mostly clear, some stormy clouds, frost on ground, calm. After filling replacement at dentist, bit numb.
Chilly, dry, stormy clouds, occasional glimpse of the moon otherwise very dark, calm.
First run of this route, all covered before. Brilliant moonlit night, moon and Orion behind as I headed west, truly mellow. Cold but calm, superb running conditions, though tracks very muddy in places. A good evening out.
Dark, very mild so tee shirt, raining just after start then drizzle. Old shoes, no left foot pain.
Mild, drizzling, dark but sky brighter towards sunset. Have used old shoes since Friday, pain in left foot seems much better, just a few niggles towards the end of the long run yesterday.
First run of this route, all parts from Thrupe Lane to North Town covered for the first time (though crossed Stoodley Bridge). Great view of the viaduct at the end of the Ham Woods path, could become a classic. Very gloomy and overcast so no camera, very mild. Very tired at the end, good run.
Beautiful stormy skies with sun setting, very mild.
Completing the first Royal Flush of adjacent Limes Park runs in 2011. Mild, drizzling and heavy rain with sudden strong headwind on road north to farm. GPS not set with route, thought north west way across field might be difficult but in fact fine, actually went wrong on earlier path. Very slippery in places, slow going at times. All a bit risky but good run. Left foot still painful.
Very mild, heavy overcast, light drizzle. Very slippery on parts of track from Church Lane and around the wood. Soreness below left ankle, hope it does not become a problem.
No breeze and not too chilly so tee-shirt, very dark but dry.
Wild stormy night, very dark, leaden skies, wind and rain throughout. Very slippery on westerly track from start, strong headwind and wind chill heading south, heavy going approaching railway lines. At least then easy on final northerly stretch with the wind. Soaked, a good un.
Beautiful calm evening, blue sky with a few wispy clouds, high, crescent moon, just about beginning to freeze, dusk on return.
First run of this route, all new up Hawkers Lane (have not even walked or driven up there in my 23 plus years in Wells!), onto Bath Road again, then almost certainly the first time in this direction along Furzy Sleight and the Lyatt (despite having been in the normal direction probably hundreds of times - felt strange). Chilly and breezy, bright and sunny with some cloudy periods when it was cold. Slab House Inn has just gone bust (according to Wells Journal this week). Very slow, very tired at the end. Mellow run though, some really good new parts, good for the soul at this time of year.
After much rain, but just about stopped, sun almost appearing, ground very wet.
Chilly, complete overcast, drizzle.
Quite chilly, heavy overcast, drizzling.
Chilly, dark, drizzly, stormy night, heavy overcast but a few stars towards the end. Forgot to take Ventolin again, no idea why, twice in a few days and never done that before. Consequently a bit wheezy but never really bad, coming up Roman Road was uncomfortable though.
Dark, chilly, cold and drizzling, breezy. First run of the dark season in 11.
Overcast, gloomy towards the end, quite chilly. Forgot to take Ventolin, only a bit wheezy though. With camera.
Overcast, very mild. Field very heavy going approaching relief road. With camera.
